Here’s 2 Tasty & Good For You Snack Ideas

Monday, March 29th, 2010

I’ve been in the snacking mood lately.

So I made a health food store run and picked up some nice little treats.

Two of the snacks I seem to be gravitating toward are:

Mary’s Gone Crackers: Sticks & Twigs. They’re crunchy pretzel like sticks that are made entirely from WHOLE grains like brown rice, quinoa, flax seeds and more! They come in flavors like chipotle tomato, curry or sea salt. And, they’re gluten free! Now, they may not sound too appealing, but, trust me- they are TERRIFIC! I’m eating a few right now as I type this- really!

Here’s a link to Mary’s Gone Crackers-check them out!

Go Raw: Ginger Snaps. They’re made from 100% organic raw ingredients: organic coconut, sprouted organic sesame seeds, organic date, organic ginger – and that’s it, nothing else! They also come in other flavors: chocolate super cookies, spirulina super chips, pumpkin super chips and and many other options.

Here’s the Go Raw link to see more.

What’s so great about these snacks?

Well, for one thing, they’re both made from simple, natural ingredients.

Simple tends to work much better for our bodies, allowing our bodies to be fueled properly, which leads to more energy, better moods and a healthier happier you!

Their ingredients are packed full vitamins- giving your body and your cells a natural boost of what it needs to run smoothly.

And these snacks taste GREAT!

Healthy food that tastes bland, now that’s for the birds!

Healthy food that taste great, now that’s for me!!

So go ahead and incorporate one of these snacks into your diet, I’m pretty certain you’ll be happy that you did!

Looking to Lose Weight? Try this.

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

One simple step you can include in your plan to lose weight is this:

Begin eating from NICE plates.

Not paper plates, but really nice ceramic or even good china plates.

Bring out your fancy silverware and glasses too.

Why?

Because eating from fancy dinnerware is a way of showing yourself that you matter.

You’re just as important as the company you invite over, or anyone else for that matter.

Weight gain is usually linked up to not honoring ourselves in some way.

So, eating from beautiful dishes is one small way to show yourself respect.

And, when you eat from prettier plates, you tend to eat slower, savoring your food a bit more.

This leads to eating less as well as allowing your body to more fully digest and utilize the food you give it.

In the end, you have a meal that’s enjoyable and much more satisfying to your mind and your body!

And lets not forget- you begin to lose weight!

There is a big difference between playing full out in life by taking a risk that may or may not pan out, and plowing straight ahead even though you know, in your heart, that what you are doing is a mistake.
