Have you been slowing down this summer?
Doing a little picnicking, frolicking in a lake or pool?
Spending more time outdoors with friends or family?
If so- GREAT!
If not, it’s time to make it happen.
Summer just beckons us to slow down.
And actually, it’s extremely important to slow down.
When you spend your time in constant go-go-go mode you burn yourself out, your health falters, you feel crankier, you have less patience for loved ones and you start to dislike your life, feeling like it involves too much stress and pressure.
How to counter this?
With a healthy dose of SLOW DOWN time.
Reserve time for yourself each week to slow down (marking your calendar will ensure this happens), and take this precious time either by yourself or with friends and family. Make sure whatever you do, it involves ZERO work for you. No inviting friends over and then making a big feast to share. Nope, that’s not slowing down. You must completely cut out the “to dos” to make this work.
A better spin on inviting friends over, you pick up the take out food, they pick up the drinks and you just hang out, listen to music and talk!
Now this is just one of several ways to shift into slow mode and recuperate from a busy life.
