How Do Your Friends Make You Feel?

Thursday, March 29th, 2012

I had dinner with a friend over the weekend. It was perfect timing. I was feeling uncomfortable with a self imposed deadline on something I was trying to get done. Having dinner with this woman was wonderful- like a breath of fresh air in my day and in my life- literally!

Spending time with this friend helped me to realign my thinking and emotions so that I could look at my situation and see exactly what I needed to do to feel better. Spending time with this friend was invigorating and motivating. It helped me to align with my best self- my Confident Self!

Some people energize us, while others drain us. It’s true, some people give us energy, while others literally suck it right out of us.

If you’re looking to raise your confidence level and step into a super cool life, you’ll want to start upgrading your friends. Yup- that’s right, it’s a simple equation, spend time with energy boosting friends and how you think and feel about yourself improves, you feel better, your life begins to really improve. Spend time with the latter and watch your self- esteem drop, with your life following suit!

This week’s Confidence Upgrade:

Begin to spend more time with energizing people. Seek them out. Start to let go of relationships with draining friends. Life is meant to be wonderful- hanging out with cool people you respect and admire, people “who’ve got it goin’ on” is an easy fun way to start to attract the greatness in your life you deserve!

Here’s to energizing friends!!!

Warmly,

Andrea!

PS Do you surround yourself with people who you think of as great- or have you settled with whomever has conveniently stuck around in your life? Please share, we’d love to hear!

What Does Water, My Son & Confidence Have in Common?

Saturday, March 17th, 2012

I’ve been donating water to my youngest son’s classroom. They serve a pitcher of water to the kids at snack and lunchtime. Last year I didn’t donate water, I thought it would be ok for my son to drink tap water. He had a tricky time last year with listening and staying focused in class. This year, I sense the water is making a big difference. He focuses well, and listens well too- how cool is that. He’s beginning to feel better about himself. It’s wonderful- no, make that AMAZING to see his progress- wonderful for my husband and I, it makes our hearts sing, but even more wonderful to watch him be so happy and comfortable!

All this from a little water.

Yup! What we put into our bodies makes a SIGNIFICANT difference on how we FEEL and ACT.

Many people don’t realize that tap water, unless filtered by reverse osmosis is not as healthy as it once was. You want to bypass tap water all together if it hasn’t been filtered by a heavy duty filter, the chemicals and the metals found in most tap water are associated with all sorts of ailments from cancer to thyroid problems to allergies, to autism spectrum disorders. Instead go for high quality spring water. If you have a spring near your house- bingo, you’re all set. For those of you who don’t, no worries, you’ll want to start purchasing spring water. If you have the cash for a reverse osmosis filtration system- even better- go for it, have that installed, and reap its benefits!

So why do I mention clean water and my son’s situation in this week’s tip? Well, because if you’re drinking unclean water, you’re affecting your overall health and definitely affecting your emotions. Unclean water can cause you to feel more emotional, less comfortable with yourself. You’ll be more apt to find flaws in yourself and others. Your body needs to be in a state of being clean and refreshed in order to think clean happy thoughts especially about yourself!

Girlfriends (and boyfriends) get yourself some clean water to drink- and enjoy the new self attitude that abounds as result of drinking it consistently!

Cheers!

Sending love to all,

Andrea

PS What type of water do you drink on a regular basis and how have you been feeling? Do you have a story of the difference of how switching to pure clean water has impacted the health, emotions and wellbeing of you and your family? Please share, we’d love to hear!

Put this in Your Car to Lift Your Spirits

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

Have I ever mentioned that my car is like a living library of motivational, inspirational, get-yourself-aligned and feeling waaay better cds?

These aren’t music cds. They’re actually a collection of cds recorded by psychologists, life coaches, spiritual leaders and so on…

I have found that driving is a great time to absorb information. Hence, it makes a great time to learn something new. These cds can be a quick pick me up if you’re feeling down. They can remind you of how great you really are. They can guide you to better relationships with your family and yourself. The sky is the limit!

So, let your drive time become your realign- yourself- time.

After I take a drive and listen to one of my inspirational cds, I tend to feel refreshed, happy and energized. Just listening to a new idea or approach inspires me. Helps me to step out of my own way. ‘Cause we can all get in our own way sometimes…

Why not take the down time that driving provides and turn it into grow, evolve and feel waaay better time?!

So, if you feel so inclined, stock up your car with some inspirational cds. Next time you take a drive, pop one in, and relax. Get ready for this built in support system to work it’s magic on you, and your life!

CD authors I recommend:

Wayne Dyer
Byron Katie
Louise Hay
Steven Covey
Drew Rozell
Collin Tipping

Or, find someone that suits your personal needs.

Happy feel good driving -and living!
