As my family and I travelled from our house to my in-laws Christmas morning, we listened to several Christmas songs along the way…
One in particular stood out- a John Lennon song. My husband and I commented on how much we loved this song. And then a conversation began about John Lennon and how great an artist he was.
John Lennon saw the world with such clarity and lived with such wisdom.
How wonderful he realized his potential enough to share it with the world.
How many people have similar gifts but lack confidence to share their gifts?
Many, many.
I know people who are wonderful writers, artists, photographers, but aren’t living out their dreams. Why?
Confidence.
The ability to believe in themselves enough, regardless of their past (rich or poor), regardless of their health, or whatever boundary they’ve allowed themselves to fall back on.
To be confident means believing in yourself enough to know you’re good enough and capable of whatever you want.
Need an extra shot of confidence?
We all do at times.
Building your confidence starts with the basics:
-Eating more healthy whole foods (veggies, fruits, whole grains…)
-Drinking lots of water
-Getting lots of sleep
-Moving your body
-Taking time for yourself
Of course there’s more, but, if you begin with these, I promise you’ll begin to feel better physically, emotionally AND yes! MORE CONFIDENT!
Remember those dreams you thought you were incapable of achieving?
Guess what- they’re actually within reach. Just begin by taking care of yourself!!
